Dr. Christina E. Shalley is the Sharon M. and Matthew R. Price Chair and Professor of Organizational Behavior at the Scheller College of Business at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She received her Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her current research interests include investigating the effects of various social and contextual factors in enhancing creativity for both individuals and teams of employees. She has published a number of articles in such scholarly journals as Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, Organization Science, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. Christina is co-editor of the Handbook of Organizational Creativity and is senior editor of the Oxford Handbook of Creativity, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship. She is a Fellow in both the Society of Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and Association for Psychological Science (APS), and is a member of the Society of Organizational Behavior (SOB). Christina currently teaches MBA courses on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution. She is also active in executive programs, where she teaches courses on Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Influence and Strategic Persuasion, and Human Resource Management. She has won several teaching awards, including MBA Elective Professor of the Year and the Brady Family Award for Faculty Teaching Excellence.
